Due to the fact that the Cadillac Escalade ESV is only a ½ ton chassis, it will not properly and reliably support the weight requirements of assault rife level armor protection. We start our work by using the chassis of the heavier duty, ¾ ton Chevrolet Suburban. After armoring, we transform the Suburban into a complete Cadillac Escalade ESV exterior look alike by using all Cadillac original parts!
Our raised roof modification is also built to handle the added weight of the correct ballistic steel armor protection.
High hardness ballistic steel plating is welded throughout the entire interior of the chassis.
A fully armored ballistic inner steel door is constructed for the rear cargo compartment, ensuring top-level protection.
Bullet traps that force shrapnel metal away from the vehicle’s interior are molded into the ballistic overlaps around the door frames, protecting passengers from bullet debris coming from various angles.
Highest optical quality 40mm+ ballistic glass windows are installed to all original window opening specifications. Manufactured by Isoclima Italy.
Fully operational lift mechanisms are designed to allow the heavy ballistic window glass to electrically operate up and down.
Custom floor mounts for Becker seats are installed to ensure occupant safety.
Ballistic steel armor plating is installed in the engine compartment, protecting the batteries, master brake cylinder, and ECU control computers.
All exterior skins, grills, bumpers, mirrors, trims and lights are changed using original equipment Cadillac Escalade ESV parts.
Emergency equipment including a P.A. system, sirens and strobe lights are installed to be used if needed in any hostile situation.
Becker’s finest custom interior is then installed with all the amenities required as directed by each client. Electronics are also selected to best serve the personal needs in the geographical areas of intended use.
Special load-rated wheels, properly tuned suspension modifications and heavy load braking systems are installed to support the added weight of the armoring, providing for years of safe and reliable use.
